Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Registered Nurse – ICU/CCU travel assignment in Waimea, Hawaii. Start date 09/14/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,445–$2,563. Guaranteed hours: 80 hours every two weeks. Shift: rotating nights. Setting: a 4-bed ICU/CCU unit caring for pediatric through geriatric patients, with potential float to OB, MS, PACU and ER as competency allows; patient care is provided for surgical, respiratory and cardiac conditions requiring critical care.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care for ICU/CCU patients across pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.
- Monitor and manage patients with serious respiratory and/or cardiac conditions, including ventilated patients, and respond to evolving clinical needs.
- Administer medications, interpret monitors, perform frequent assessments, and implement physician orders in collaboration with the health care team.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary staff; participate in handoffs, rounds, and care planning to optimize outcomes.
- Float to OB, MS, PACU and ER as competency allows; participate in after-hours PACU recovery as needed.
- Complete orientation and competency binder requirements; adhere to unit protocols and safety standards.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Hawaii
- ICU/CCU nursing experience or demonstrated critical-care competency
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, with 80 hours every two weeks
- Capacity to care for patients across the pediatric through geriatric spectrum
- Willingness to float to OB, MS, PACU and ER according to competency
- Successful completion of hospital orientation and unit-specific competency processes
