Responsibilities
- Perform Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations and active interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab, using a variety of complex equipment.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce high-quality digital images, including angiograms, as ordered by physicians.
- Position and prepare patients, assist with catheterization and specialized procedures, and maintain sterile technique and patient safety.
- Instruct patients on exam procedures and monitor patient status during procedures, providing immediate support as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians during interventional procedures, adjust imaging parameters, and document findings and procedures accurately.
- Mentor and train staff on technical skills; contribute to team performance and workflow optimization.
Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in the state of practice; Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR from an approved vendor per policy; PVMB/TEAM/CPI or equivalent crisis management credentialing required.
- Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification preferred; RT license in the state of practice required.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; experience as a Special Procedures Technologist preferred.
- Education: Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent combination of education/related experience; Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or equivalent preferred.
- Additional: Ability to work in a home healthcare - hospice setting; capable of night shifts; strong technical skills and critical thinking; ability to mentor staff as needed.
