Responsibilities
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses under RN supervision
- Assess, plan, implement, and document patient care for residents in a long-term care setting
- Perform routine nursing duties including wound care, toileting assistance, and hygiene support
- Monitor vital signs, report changes, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and promote safety and comfort
- Ensure accurate charting, medication reconciliation, and adherence to infection control protocols
Requirements
- Active Practical Nurse license (state of licensure appropriate for practice)
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work the 18:00–06:30 night shift in a travel assignment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
