Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients on a GI/Med-Surg unit, with telemetry as indicated
- Perform comprehensive assessments, formulate care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes
- Administer medications safely, monitor for adverse reactions, and educate patients and families about treatment plans
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, including nursing, physicians, and ancillary staff
- Monitor and respond to patient changes, including telemetry data, vital signs, and pain/comfort levels
- Document care consistently in the medical record and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- BLS certification required (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in GI/Med-Surg or a related specialty
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) in a travel assignment
- Willingness to work in a GI/Med-Surgical setting with telemetry
- Note: No local candidates within 50 miles
