Responsibilities
- Clean, decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, and distribute sterile instruments and supplies according to established procedures.
- Maintain sterile packs and instrument sets; verify lot numbers, labels, and sterility indicators.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment and track processing workflows to ensure timely availability for procedures.
- Document sterilization cycles, quality checks, and deviations in accordance with infection control standards.
- Communicate effectively with clinical teams to anticipate instrument needs and support patient care workflows.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe processing area in compliance with facility policies and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- SPT certification preferred.
- Day shift availability: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm (0700–1530).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced short-term acute care environment.
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to aseptic technique and standard precautions.
- Must be able to perform essential duties in a sterile processing setting.
