Respiratory Therapist – Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date 06/15/2026 for 15 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,885-$1,987 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift: Day shift, three 12-hour shifts (0630-1900). Setting: hospital.

Responsibilities
- Provide continuous airway management, including ventilator and non-invasive ventilator support
- Monitor respiratory status, implement therapies per physician orders, and participate in physician consultations; CPR as needed
- Manage ventilators and related equipment (V60, Para Pac Transport Vent; PB 980, PB 840) and ensure proper alarm management
- Deliver respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations; administer therapies and adjust settings per protocol
- Document care using computerized charting; manage medication administration with Pyxis as required
- Educate patients and families about treatments and device use; support infection control and patient safety initiatives
Requirements
- Hawaii State Respiratory Therapist license; current Hawaii license preferred, but applicants with an active Hawaii license application submitted may be considered; license must be in place by start date
- Certification: RRT; BLS; ACLS; PALS; NRP preferred
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant practice; able to care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
- Vaccination and health: Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical/religious exemption required prior to contract start
- Availability: Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health clearance; Day shift availability (0630-1900) with three 12-hour shifts weekly
- Must be able to work in a hospital setting and comply with facility protocols
