Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department, including triage, treatment, and discharge planning for patients across the lifespan from newborns to geriatrics.
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, interpret and respond to changes in condition, and document care accurately.
- Collaborate with CNAs and the broader care team to ensure safe patient flow, timely interventions, and appropriate discharge instructions.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control standards, and high-quality charting in the ED record system.
- Respond to acute changes in patient condition, implement rapid interventions as directed, and escalate to physicians when needed.
- Support department operations during busy periods and assist with procedures and patient turnover as required.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California (or eligible for licensure in California)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced ED environment
- Willingness to undertake a 13-week travel assignment starting 10/26/2026
- Emergency Department experience or exposure preferred
- Proficient with electronic medical records and ED documentation
