Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients, including assessment, ongoing monitoring, vital signs, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies, monitor for adverse effects, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Perform wound care, operate and monitor drains, and assist with procedure-related tasks as needed
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans, plan and facilitate discharge, and educate patients and families
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation, ensure adherence to clinical policies, and support EPIC charting and workflow
Requirements
- Active registered nurse (RN) license with Nursys license verification
- Minimum 2 years of med-surg nursing experience
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- Ability to work day shift in a hospital setting; 12-hour shifts, three days per week
- NO RTO during the assignment (no requested time off)
