Registered Nurse - ER in a travel assignment, located in Los Angeles, California. Start date: April 27, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,862–$1,964 per week. Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients per established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients, documenting observations and outcomes.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, social workers, aides) using professional judgment and critical thinking.
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, manage symptoms, and respond to changes in condition in a timely, safe manner.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- For Float Pool assignments, clock in to the unit being worked and adhere to unit-specific expectations and education requirements.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work the 12-hour night shift schedule in a home hospice setting
- Travel nurse eligibility and willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and independent judgment
- Ability to pass health screening and background checks, with good communication and teamwork skills
- ER background and/or hospice/home health experience preferred, with a focus on symptom management and patient comfort
