Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and provide occupational therapy services for ADLs, ROM, strength, and functional performance for inpatients and outpatients.
- Develop and implement physician-referred OT plans of care; deliver direct OT treatments and maintain progress notes.
- Provide therapy services across domains including activities of daily living, gait training, upper-extremity function, sensory integration, and equipment fitting as indicated.
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team to coordinate screenings, treatment plans, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on OT recommendations; participate in program planning, documentation, and outcome tracking.
- Contribute to department operations, ensure accurate record-keeping, and participate in ongoing staff education and quality improvement activities.
Requirements
- Hawaii PT license required ASAP (per Job Notes)
- Availability to work Saturdays (as part of the assigned schedule)
- Ability to work in a hospital/acute care setting with both inpatients and outpatients
- Eligibility for travel assignment and successful completion of administrative requirements for the role
