Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor residents per physician orders, ensuring accuracy and safety
- Provide basic nursing care, including vital signs, injections, wound care, and assistance with activities of daily living
- Document care provided and changes in residents’ condition clearly and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans
- Identify and report changes in residents’ status, responding promptly to any safety concerns
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents and families
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure by endorsement
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program (LPN diploma)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule in a long-term care setting
- 1+ year of nursing experience, preferably in geriatric or long-term care
- Ability to pass standard background check and drug screen
