Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date 08/17/2026 for an eight-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range $2,034-$2,211 per week with 48 guaranteed hours. Shift is 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 3x12-hour nights, in a short-term acute care hospital ED.

Responsibilities
- Provide triage, treatment, and discharge care for ED patients across the lifespan from newborns to geriatrics
- Review and document orders promptly; provide medication side effects education and discharge instructions
- Recognize and respond to cardiac, respiratory, and other emergent situations; participate in Code Blue, Code Stroke, Sepsis, and Trauma activations as needed
- Perform essential nursing duties including medication administration, IV therapy, care of indwelling catheters and drains, and safe operation of ED equipment
- Maintain accurate, legible documentation in the EMR and follow the established chain of command
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- ASN or equivalent required; BSN preferred
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience; ED/ER experience strongly preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC required within 6 months of hire
- Epic EMR experience required
- Ability to work the night shift and thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced ED environment
