Responsibilities
- Monitor patient telemetry and rhythms, respond to alarms, and escalate changes per protocol
- Administer prescribed medications and cardiac drips (including heparin, diuretics such as Lasix, and antiarrhythmics as indicated)
- Assist with initiation and titration processes for Tikosyn or Sotalol per unit protocol
- Manage post-procedure TR Band applications and related hemostasis activities
- Collaborate with the care team, participate in unit orientation, and complete Epic training as part of onboarding
- Float to other acute care units as assigned, ensuring patient safety and adherence to unit policies
Requirements
- Active Kansas Registered Nurse license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience
- Experience with cardiac medications and drips (heparin, diuretics, antiarrhythmics) and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation
- New graduates not accepted
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care setting and float to multiple units as needed
