Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care across ages (neonates through geriatrics) in ED, ICU, Med/Surg, OB, and OR/L&D settings
- Manage ventilators (invasive and noninvasive), including weaning, and adjust therapy as patient needs evolve
- Perform ABG collection, analysis, and interpretation to guide treatment decisions
- Assist with airway management, including intubation support and tracheostomy care
- Monitor patient status with end-tidal CO2 and SpO2, ensure proper mask fitting and patient comfort
- Document all care in the Epic charting system and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Rapid Response)
Requirements
- Active RRT credential with Oregon state license
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapist experience
- Trauma Level I experience: Required (subject to client confirmation)
- Experience across age groups (neonates to geriatrics) preferred
- Equipment familiarity: Draeger, Hamilton, Puritan Bennett, LTV, Respironics
- Proficient in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and airway management
- Epic charting experience required
- Ability to work in a high-demand hospital environment as a solo RT on shift
- Vehicle required for assignment
