Responsibilities
- Provide ventilator management and support (Dräger, Hamilton, Puritan Bennett, LTV, Respironics units noted)
- Manage invasive ventilation, NIV/CPAP/BiPAP, and HFNC
- Collect and interpret arterial blood gases; participate in weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Assist with intubation/ETT procedures and tracheostomy care/management
- Deliver neonatal and pediatric to geriatric respiratory care; maintain competency across OB, ED, ICU, Med/Surg, OR
- Work as a solo RT on shift across multiple units; participate in the swing bed program
- Document care accurately in the Epic charting system; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
Requirements
- Licenses: Oregon state RRT license required; active RRT credential
- Certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS, PALS required
- Experience: Minimum 3 years respiratory therapy experience
- Trauma: Trauma Level I experience listed as required in posting; facility description notes Level IV ED; please expect compliance clarification with the client prior to submission
- Patient population: Neonates through geriatrics
- On-site requirements: Must have a vehicle for the assignment; EPIC charting experience required
- Scheduling: Weekends approximately every other weekend; on-call not required; ability to work within the stated shift and unit coverage
- References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
