Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, following approved care plans and physician orders.
- Administer medications and document administration accurately per facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor residents’ vital signs, assess changes in condition, and report findings to the supervising RN or physician.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide routine wound care, as delegated, while maintaining resident dignity and comfort.
- Maintain accurate charting and documentation; ensure timely communication with the interdisciplinary team.
- Uphold safety, infection control, and privacy standards; respond promptly to call lights and emergencies; support care coordination during rounds.
Requirements
- Local candidates only.
- Active LPN license in good standing (New Mexico) or eligible for NM licensure.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent).
- Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM–6:30 PM) and commit to a 7-week travel assignment with reliable attendance.
