Responsibilities
- Provide competent nursing care for telemetry-capable Med Surg patients in accordance with established standards and unit procedures.
- Monitor telemetry data, interpret cardiac rhythms, and promptly respond to arrhythmias or patient status changes; escalate to the physician or charge nurse as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments, perform routine assessments, and document care in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with the health care team; support care coordination, patient education, and discharge planning; may assume charge nurse, preceptor, or committee responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain patient safety and quality of care through adherence to evidence-based practices and ongoing professional development.
- Participate in rotating D/E/N shifts and weekend coverage, including on-call as required by unit needs.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York (NY license only)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
- Telemetry experience required
- Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience
- Ability to work in a hospital setting with rotating 12-hour shifts
- Right to work in the United States (travel assignment eligibility)
