Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and monitor patient status, documenting findings accurately in the medical record.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care across disciplines while applying critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent action as needed.
- Prioritize patient safety, infection control, and quality of care while providing patient and family education.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work a night shift schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts.
- Med Surg nursing experience preferred; strong clinical judgment and communication skills required.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced inpatient care setting and to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
