Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult Med Surg patients, including monitoring, assessment, and ongoing evaluation of condition
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed; monitor for adverse reactions and document responses
- Monitor vital signs, intake and output, and relevant lab data; identify and report changes promptly
- Collaborate with the health care team to develop and adjust patient care plans; participate in rounds and care conferences
- Document accurately in the electronic health record; ensure timely and complete handoffs during shift changes
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, discharge planning, and post-acute care needs
- Maintain a safe and clean care environment; implement infection control precautions and safety standards

Requirements
- Licensure: active Registered Nurse license in Georgia (or current state of practice as applicable)
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Experience: minimum years of Med Surg experience required by the client; exact number specified in the job notes
- Education: RN education from an approved program; eligible for licensure as a registered nurse
- General requirements: ability to work the listed shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) and participate in required holiday coverage
- Holiday coverage: must work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve)
