Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, under supervision as required, in a long-term care setting.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policy.
- Monitor residents’ health status, document vital signs and interventions, and report changes promptly to the supervising clinician.
- Perform routine assessments, wound care when indicated, and participate in care planning with the interdisciplinary team.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and promote safety, mobility, and fall prevention.
- Maintain accurate, compliant charting and uphold privacy and infection control standards.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
- Minimum one year of practical nursing experience in a long-term care or comparable setting preferred.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to adapt to a travel assignment environment.
- Ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced long-term care setting.
