Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising occupational therapist in implementing and adjusting individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct therapeutic activities and therapeutic media to improve or maintain patients’ functional abilities and independence.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) as directed, ensuring safety, dignity, and patient comfort.
- Monitor patient responses, document progress, and report changes to the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain clean, organized treatment spaces and comply with standard precautions and infection control practices.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to support discharge planning and continuity of care.
Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant certification.
- NH state licensure or eligibility to practice as a COTA in New Hampshire.
- Ability to work in a skilled nursing setting and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
- Availability for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 35 hours per week and the listed shift.
- Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to adapt to new facilities and patient populations.
