Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Collect and interpret patient data; develop and implement a plan of care; evaluate progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Monitor telemetry data, recognize changes in patient status, and escalate to the appropriate team members.
- Administer medications and therapies per orders; manage IV therapy and other treatments as required.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels, coordinating care with other disciplines while using clinical judgment and critical thinking.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and families; ensure accurate documentation and continuity of care.
Requirements
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license active in the state of practice (California)
- Education: BSN preferred
- Certifications: CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; acute care facility experience preferred
- Specialty/setting: Ability to work in a Telemetry-focused hospital setting; night shift capability required
