Overview
Registered Nurse - Med Surg, Utica, New York. This travel - temporary assignment begins 11/30/2026 for 13 weeks, with 36 guaranteed hours per week. You’ll work 12-hour day shifts (Day 12x3) in a hospital setting, providing care to adult medical-surgical patients. Weekly pay ranges from $2,139 to $2,246.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult Med Surg patients, including post-operative or generalized medical-surgical conditions; monitor vitals, assess needs, and respond to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and therapies as orders authorize; manage IV pumps, NG tubes, feeding tubes, and other routine device-based care.
- Document accurately in the designated electronic medical record (EPIC) and maintain up-to-date nursing notes, ensuring clear and coordinate communication with the health care team.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, physical therapy, and ancillary staff to develop and adjust care plans; participate in rounds and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Float to other units as needed per unit policy; adhere to unit-specific protocols, safety standards, and patient privacy requirements.
- Provide patient and family education, assist with care transitions, and document patient responses to interventions.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license with Nursys verification; current and in good standing.
- BLS certification (AHA) required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg experience; travel experience preferred.
- EPIC EMR experience or strong familiarity with EPIC systems.
- Ability to float to other units as needed; valid driver’s license and correct address alignment; RTO must be included at time of submission.
- Travel eligibility and documentation to support a 13-week assignment.
