Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images used to diagnose medical conditions.
- Perform a range of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy as needed.
- Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation; ensure high-quality images and accurate labeling.
- Use PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images to the appropriate location while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate records, files and billing information; monitor and ensure the integrity of patient data in compliance with HIPAA.
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment and manage supply inventory.
- Provide patient care that accommodates adolescents through geriatrics, prioritizing safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology (Preferred)
- Licenses/Certifications: California RT license (Required); ARRT RT (R)(CT)(ARRT) or RT (R)(ARRT) (Required); Advanced Certification in CT (Required); Basic Life Support (BLS) from an approved vendor (Required); Fluoroscopy license in California (Required if operating fluoroscopy); Venipuncture certification (Required if performing venipuncture for contrast administration)
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the radiology field
- Other: Ability to work the night shift; willingness to participate in a travel assignment; commitment to patient privacy and safety
