Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for Radiation Oncology patients under the Radiation Oncologist, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care related to disease, treatment course, and follow-up.
- Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects, manage symptoms, and administer prescribed therapies while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Educate patients and families on treatment expectations, potential side effects, self-care strategies, and follow-up plans; provide counseling and support as needed.
- Collaborate with the Radiation Oncology team (physicians, therapists, and support staff) to coordinate care, document progress, and adjust the plan of care as appropriate.
- Facilitate referrals to supportive resources such as nutrition, rehabilitation, hospice, or community services; assist with discharge planning and continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation, uphold infection control and safety standards, and adapt to a fast-paced, multidisciplinary clinic environment.

Requirements
- Current Colorado RN license in good standing; BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum 2 years of RN Radiation Oncology experience (not Oncology RN experience).
- Ability to work in a hospital-based Radiation Oncology setting; strong communication skills with a multidisciplinary team.
- Education: Registered Nurse with Colorado license; relevant oncology nursing education/training.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate oncology patient care, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced clinic environment.
- Travel eligibility with compliance to the 75-mile minimum distance rule from the assignment facility.
