Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for the patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines; apply critical thinking and professional judgment.
- Collect relevant data, assess health status, analyze findings, develop and implement care plans, and reevaluate progress toward outcomes.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care; collaborate with patient, family, and interdisciplinary treatment teams.
- Provide patient and family education, and offer learning opportunities for team members; delegate appropriately and coordinate duties among the care team.
- Maintain a safe, healing, and compassionate environment while ensuring adherence to policy and evidence-based practice.

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California) — Required
- BSN — Preferred
- Minimum two years of recent acute care nursing experience — Required or strongly preferred
- CPR/BLS certification (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS) — Required
- ACLS and PALS certifications (AHA-ACLS/ARC-ALS and AHA-PALS/ARC-PALS) — Required
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems, specifically EPIC and Cerner — Required
- Ability to work in an acute care, fast-paced setting and participate in a 40-hour guarantee per week
