Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while maintaining dignity and privacy.
- Provide basic nursing care under supervision of licensed staff, including turning and positioning, taking routine measurements, and reporting changes.
- Support safe mobility and transfers using appropriate assistive devices and techniques; monitor for comfort and safety during movements.
- Observe and document resident condition, behavior, and responses to care; communicate changes promptly to the supervising RN/LPN.
- Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident areas; implement standard infection control practices and keep care areas organized.
- Collaborate with care teams to follow individualized care plans and honor resident rights and preferences.
Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant license/certification in the state of New Mexico.
- Ability to work night shift (18:00–06:00) and meet the guaranteed weekly hours.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow detailed care plans and documentation procedures.
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment and adhere to agency policies and procedures.
- Prior experience in a long-term care or geriatric setting is preferred but not required.
