Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in long-term care settings under plan of care established by licensed provider.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor responses, and document in the electronic health record.
- Assess resident condition, recognize changes in status, communicate with the supervising clinician, and escalate as needed.
- Support activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, hygiene, and safety to maintain resident dignity and comfort.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans, report concerns, and ensure continuity of care across shifts.
- Maintain infection control practices, proper charting, and compliance with privacy regulations and safety standards.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license (in good standing)
- Ability to work evening and/or overnight shifts in a long-term care environment
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Capacity to manage a fast-paced clinical environment and respond to resident needs promptly
- Adequate physical ability to perform routine nursing duties and assist with mobility as required
