Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Travel) in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Start date: 07/20/2026. This 13-week travel assignment is in a hospital setting with 36 guaranteed hours per week on a 3x12-hour day shift (0630–1830). Weekly pay range: $1,980–$2,088.

Responsibilities
- Provide RN-level Med Surg care, including assessment, care planning, and execution of physician/provider orders.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, reassessments, and care documentation; monitor for changes in condition and escalate as needed.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen, blood products, and other treatments; operate infusion pumps with accurate documentation.
- Document all care and assessments in Cerner EMR and use Care Compass for organized tasks and patient education.
- Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment plans, medications, pain management, discharge planning, and follow-up care; coordinate with the care team to ensure continuity.
Requirements
- Current Colorado RN license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure.
- Minimum 5 years of Med Surg or Emergency Room experience.
- Cerner EHR/EMR experience required.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications required or must be completed within 3 months of start.
- Previous travel nursing experience required.
- Graduate of an accredited RN program.
- Basic computer skills and comfort with electronic health records.
