Shift: 12-hour day shifts; 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. schedule, with variation; 12x3 rotation
Setting: hospital-based inpatient Med/Surg with oncology patients
Note: No local candidates within 50 miles.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult patients on Med/Surg units, including oncology-inpatient cases
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and manage basic infusion therapies according to protocol
- Monitor patient status continuously, recognize early warning signs, and escalate to the medical team as needed
- Assist with procedures, wound care, able to perform wound dressings, and support post-procedure care
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other disciplines to coordinate care and ensure safe discharges
- Document accurately in the electronic health record and educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and self-care
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- BLS required; NIHSS and ACLS credentials
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Med Surg and/or oncology inpatient care
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and participate in a travel assignment; schedule may vary
- Must meet assignment length and travel eligibility criteria
- Education: nursing degree (ASN/BSN) as standard for RN practice
