Responsibilities
- Administer APTA-standard physical therapy treatments for disabilities, injuries, and diseases to relieve pain, restore motor function, and maintain optimal performance.
- Work under limited supervision while developing and adjusting individualized treatment plans; re-evaluate patient progress and modify interventions as needed.
- Implement therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and modalities appropriate to the patient and diagnosis.
- Document patient care and outcomes in accordance with facility policy; communicate findings and progress with the care team.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, activity modification, and strategies to support recovery and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain patient safety, adhere to infection control practices, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist license in California
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Outpatient physical therapy experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of APTA standards and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to collaborate with the care team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting and adapt to a travel assignment format
