Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned patient group according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, document findings, and adjust care plans as needed.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; delegate appropriately.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and patient education for safe transitions.
- Provide education to patients, families, and the care team; support a safe, healing environment.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Acute care facility experience: preferred; at least two years of recent field experience
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- Ability to work the listed shift and adapt to a hospital telemetry setting
