Responsibilities
- Deliver therapeutic doses of radiation for cancer treatment.
- Discuss treatment plans with the patient in collaboration with a clinical oncologist and physician.
- Establish correct radiation dosage and the target location or area to treat.
- Help patients understand potential side effects and how to manage them.
- Safely provide radiotherapy and operate Varian TrueBeam equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of the treatment regimen and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Simulation experience is preferred; contribute to the integration of treatment planning with the clinical team.
Requirements
- Varian TrueBeam experience required
- Simulation experience preferred
- Experience delivering therapeutic radiotherapy in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated ability to follow federal, state, and local regulations and professional guidelines
- Strong patient communication and teamwork skills
