Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients in a 77-bed unit, following standard nursing practices
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, and respond to clinical changes with appropriate interventions
- Document care and outcomes in the Meditech EMR; manage unit-specific equipment such as pyxis and wound care devices
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans; participate in discharge planning
- May float to Laulima Unit or Cardiovascular Unit as needed; maintain readiness to adapt to varied shift lengths
- Uphold professional nursing standards with a focus on patient safety and quality of care

Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license by start date (new Hawaii licensees must apply upon acceptance)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- 2–10 years of med-surgical nursing experience
- Ability to work night shifts and flexible hours; may encounter varied shift lengths and days
- Willingness to float to other units (e.g., Laulima Unit; Cardiovascular Unit)
- Experience with Meditech EMR and unit equipment (pyxis, wound vac, chest tubes)
- Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved exception required prior to contract start
- Orientation: must arrive Thursday before start to access employee health appointment
