Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA. Start date 08/17/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,060–$2,211 per week with guaranteed hours of 48. Shift pattern includes rotating 12-hour shifts (3x12s). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. This is a travel - temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to ED patients across age groups, including triage, treatment, and discharge planning.
- Assess and document patient signs, symptoms, and vital signs; communicate abnormal findings to the ED physician.
- Administer medications, manage intravenous therapy, and oversee blood products as ordered.
- Perform routine nursing skills with accuracy, including catheter and drain care, use of medical equipment, and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Interpret ECG rhythms and respond to life-threatening emergencies with appropriate interventions.
- Deliver patient and family education on medications, procedures, discharge planning, and safety after treatment.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
- Current AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS and AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certifications required.
- One year in acute care experience required; at least two years of recent ER/acute care experience preferred.
- Current Epic experience required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department and within a rotating shift pattern.
