Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients per established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with appropriate documentation and updates to the care plan.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered; monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition.
- Apply critical thinking and professional judgment to ensure patient safety, quality of care, and compliance with clinical policies.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California.
- Oncology nursing experience or ability to work in an oncology/inpatient setting.
- Ability to work 3x12-hour day shifts.
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and comply with assignment requirements.
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment skills, and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary care.
