Overview
Registered Nurse – House Supervisor position in Calais, Maine. This travel, temporary assignment begins May 20, 2026 for 13 weeks. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, with weekly pay ranging from $2,258 to $2,398 per week and no guaranteed hours. Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Nursing, the Nursing Supervisor oversees nursing operations, coordinates age-appropriate patient care activities in the absence of senior leadership, and ensures adherence to organization standards while supporting the mission, vision, and values of the organization. This role is in an acute care, inpatient care environment and requires clinical leadership during night hours.

Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities in the absence of CNO (Chief Nursing Officer) and unit leadership
- Ensure compliance with standards, policies, and procedures established for the organization
- Provide overall management of nursing services during night shifts and support age-appropriate care across the patient population
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and values
- Demonstrate leadership with effective communication, organization, conflict management, and problem-solving
- Act rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations and function independently

Requirements
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of acute care experience; demonstrated clinical proficiency and leadership capabilities
- Ability to function independently and to work effectively in a night-shift, high-acuity setting
