Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in the emergency department and swing bed unit
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of patients with acute conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, wound care, and monitor patient responses; document findings in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure patient safety
- Prepare patients for discharge or transfer, including education and referral coordination as appropriate
- Maintain infection control practices, chart accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Active registered nursing license to practice in Colorado
- Availability to work the night shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department environment with swing bed duties
- Eligible for a travel assignment and able to meet agency credentialing and onboarding timelines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
