Registered Nurse – Primary Care (Travel)

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (five 8-hour days)
Setting: ambulatory/outpatient care within a hospital-affiliated care program
Weekly pay: $2,111–$2,243 per week

Responsibilities
- Provide clinical nursing services in the outpatient setting, collaborating with providers and clinic staff to ensure high-quality, efficient patient care.
- Lead and direct clinic staff, supporting front desk operations and patient care to maintain smooth daily workflow.
- Maintain medication inventory and supplies not listed in the Warehouse PAR system; assist with clinic opening and closing as needed.
- Perform quality control checks for Point of Care testing and ensure accurate documentation of all care and services in the patient record.
- Anticipate and respond to provider and staff needs to promote timely, coordinated care; communicate effectively with other departments to support patient outcomes.
- Uphold infection control policies, participate in mandatory trainings and in-services, and maintain a clean, safe work environment; report safety hazards as appropriate.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Alaska or another U.S. state; active Alaska license required at time of submittal
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 2 years of primary care experience
- Knowledge of nursing process, safety and infection control principles
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask; capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs; able to stand, walk, and perform duties in a fast-paced outpatient setting
