Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Monitor patient status, interpret assessment data, respond to changes, and administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines.
- Develop and implement patient care plans; participate in discharge planning and provide patient and family education.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes; uphold safety, infection control, and quality of care standards.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a safe, healing, and patient-centered environment; identify and communicate changes in patient conditions.
Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice (California) required; CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor required.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Ability to work in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting and to fulfill the night shift schedule.
