Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, patient-centered nursing care for neonates in the NICU using the nursing process
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, administer medications, manage IVs, and provide life-saving support as indicated
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record, including EPIC workflows
- Supervise and delegate to licensed and unlicensed staff as assigned, ensuring patient safety and quality care
Requirements
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) as applicable; S.T.A.B.L.E certification required; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS required
- Experience: At least two years of recent NICU or acute care nursing experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Additional: EPIC electronic health record experience required; ability to work in a high-acuity NICU setting
