Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Registered Nurse – ICU travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. Start date 08/03/2026 for 13 weeks, nights shift. Weekly pay: $1,727–$1,826. No guaranteed hours. This assignment involves Neuro ICU and IMCU care with potential float between units in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for neuro-critical and intermediate care patients, including frequent neurologic assessments and rapid response to changes in status.
- Monitor invasive lines (arterial and central venous when present), hemodynamics, and alert the team to deviations; assist with ICP monitoring when applicable.
- Manage ventilator support and airway equipment as needed; administer and titrate medications per orders and protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, bedside nurses, therapists, and case management to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans; document thoroughly in the electronic health record.
- Participate in daily rounds, discharge planning, patient and family education, and ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Float between ICU and IMCU as required, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (ICU 1–2; step-down 3–4) and prioritizing patient safety and timely interventions.
- Respond to neuro emergencies, implement neuro-protective strategies, and escalate to the appropriate team when needed.
Requirements
- Active RN license with Nursys verification; ability to obtain licensure in the listed location.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU or IMCU; strong neuro-focused practice is required.
- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program with current licensure.
- Certification Card on file; resume with no gaps greater than 60 days; Skills Checklist; References.
- Ability to work nights in a hospital setting and participate in unit float and on-call duties as required.
