Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care for Med Surg Tele patients, including assessment, monitoring, and timely interventions.
- Monitor telemetry, interpret heart rhythms, and respond to changes in patient status in collaboration with the care team.
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies; ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other disciplines to implement care plans and support discharge planning.
- Float to other units as needed and participate in on-call coverage as required by the assignment.
Requirements
- Flu vaccine required (no exceptions)
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
- RTO: No more than 3 days may be requested per 13-week contract
- 100-mile radius rule: permanent address must be outside a 100-mile radius of the assignment location
- Ability to work days and participate in on-call coverage as required
