Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making in planning and delivering care.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record with accuracy and timeliness.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the health care team to ensure safe, compassionate care and smooth transitions.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California or eligibility for licensure by endorsement.
- Telemetry or acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shift schedule (3x12).
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Able to function effectively in a fast-paced hospital-like setting and adapt to schedule changes.
