Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care per physician orders, including ventilator management, airway support, suctioning, and medication administration.
- Monitor ventilated patients, interpret flow-volume and pressure-volume data, and adjust therapy under physician direction.
- Perform arterial blood gas draws and other pulmonary diagnostics as ordered; document results and communicate patient status during handoffs.
- Verify orders, participate in patient care rounds, and contribute to care planning; assist with airway management and intubation as certified.
- Maintain equipment and troubleshoot issues; adhere to PPE, infection control, and department policies; support training and orientation as needed.

Requirements
- COARC-approved Respiratory Care Program graduate with Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential per NBRC.
- BLS certification obtained within 90 days of hire; NRP certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum 1 year of hospital respiratory experience; pulmonary diagnostics and cardiac diagnostics experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; ability to work nights in a hospital setting; successful completion of background check and drug screen.
