Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to neonates in a Level 1B NICU setting, including monitoring, stabilization, and ongoing assessment of newborns with health issues.
- Apply respiratory support as needed, manage TTN and related mild breathing problems, and utilize high-flow nasal cannula when indicated.
- Implement ESC (Eat, Sleep, Console) care principles, support transition to stable feeding and sleep cycles, and coordinate with the care team for infant needs.
- Use the Meditech Expanse electronic medical record system for documentation, orders, and communication with physicians, therapists, and families.
- Participate in rounds, contribute to care planning, and ensure safe medication administration and infection control practices.
- Document and report changes in patient status promptly, escalate concerns, and engage families in education and discharge planning.

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
- Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) required and must be uploaded at submission
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience, specifically Level 1B NICU or higher
- BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (AHA or ARC acceptable)
- Meditech Expanse experience preferred; ESC experience required; TTN and High Flow NC experience required
- Must have own vehicle and a permanent address listed in profile; travelers must reside beyond 50 miles of the assignment location
- RTO requests must be included at submission; demonstrate ability to work in an NICU environment and comply with unit protocols
