Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER travel assignment in a hospital setting. Location: Lake Isabella, California, United States. Start date: 08/30/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,773–$1,852 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Nights (Thu, Fri and Sat, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM). This assignment requires the ability to float to Med Surg if needed and offers holiday pay for New Year, Thanksgiving, and Christmas only.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an emergency department, prioritizing patient safety and rapid assessment
- Perform triage, initial stabilization, and ongoing monitoring of patients with acute conditions
- Administer medications and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR
- Communicate clearly with physicians and the care team regarding patient status and treatment plans
- Implement cross-training in other nursing departments as needed and float to Med Surg when required
- Maintain professionalism, excellent patient interactions, and adherence to performance and safety standards
- Complete nursing medication tests as part of credentialing and ongoing competency checks
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- 2+ years of recent ER experience preferred
- Operating knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (T-System and CPSI)
- Must pass nursing medication test
- Effective English communication (verbal and written), strong interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to float to Med Surg if needed
Education
- Nursing degree and licensure to practice as a registered nurse in California (as required by state licensure)
