Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients in the ER per established standards of care and the nursing process
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, perform assessments, and document care accurately
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians and other disciplines
- Apply critical thinking and professional judgment to prioritize care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and adherence to policies; communicate changes in condition to the care team
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (as applicable to the practicing jurisdiction)
- Emergency Department nursing experience or proven ability to work in a high-acuity ER setting
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking and clinical judgement in patient care
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment for 13 weeks
