Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a long-term care/nursing home setting located in Waldorf, Maryland. Start date: 04/13/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: 1,548 to 1,612 per week. Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing occupational therapy evaluations and contribute to treatment planning for residents in a long-term care setting.
- Implement and adjust individualized OT plans to improve activities of daily living, mobility, upper-extremity function, and cognitive engagement.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, support restorative and adaptive programs, and assist with ADLs as appropriate.
- Document resident progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes in the facility’s chart per policy and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, PT, SLP, social work) to ensure safe, coordinated, resident-centered care.
Requirements
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential (active or as required by/state regulations).
- Ability to provide OT services in a busy long-term care environment and adapt to residents’ needs.
- Proficiency with documentation and basic electronic health records.
- Availability to start on 04/13/2026 and complete a 13-week assignment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
