Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adults undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab, including cardiac catheterizations and device implants.
- Monitor patient status during procedures, oversee procedural sedation, interpret dysrhythmias, and assist with circulating duties.
- Support devices and technologies used in interventional care (e.g., TAVR, ICD/pacer implants, IMPELLA, IABP) and manage equipment while maintaining sterile technique.
- Coordinate with interventional cardiology teams, perform post-procedure recovery monitoring, and ensure safe patient handoffs.
- Document care and procedures in the electronic charting system (EPIC); participate in STEMI and ACS patient care as part of a fast-paced team.
Requirements
- Licensure: Pending licenses accepted per job; Illinois requires license in hand; Missouri submissions may be allowed without license in hand.
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab and critical care clinical experience; first-timers accepted
- Specialization: Cath Lab and critical care background with adult patient population
- Skills: Procedural sedation monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, ability to circulate during procedures
- Tools: EPIC charting experience; pre-start training modules completed by deadlines
